Resourced Desktop turns your brand's files into an ordinary drive folder on your computer. Instead of downloading and re-uploading through the browser, you open, edit, and save files where you already work, and they stay in sync. It's available for macOS and Windows, and you download it from Admin, under Desktop.
What it does
Once you sign in, the app mounts a virtual drive — Resourced Drive — containing your products' files. On macOS it appears in your home folder; on Windows it's its own drive letter. It behaves like any folder: browse it in Finder or File Explorer, preview images, open a tech sketch in your design tool. The files aren't copies — they're the live files, fetched on demand — and when you add or save a file into the drive it uploads back, so the rest of your team sees it in the product's Files tab.
Downloading and signing in
Download the build for your operating system from the Desktop page in Admin — macOS (Apple silicon) or Windows (x64) — and install it like any application. Sign in with your usual account, including a two-factor code if your account uses one; the app connects to the same workspace you use in the browser. It then runs from the menu bar on macOS or the system tray on Windows and keeps itself up to date.
The app window
The window is a small status panel rather than a workspace. It shows the connection state — Connected when all is well — with two actions, Open Folder and Disconnect, and a footer showing the server you're connected to and the app version.
The menu and settings
Clicking the icon in the menu bar or system tray opens the controls. Open Folder and Sync Now open the drive or refresh it immediately. Group Products By sets how the drive's folder tree is organized — None for a flat list of product folders, Hierarchy level for any level of your hierarchy, or Season. Start at Login mounts the drive automatically when you log in. Receive Prerelease Updates opts into early builds with experimental features, with a confirmation before it's enabled; otherwise updates install from stable releases automatically.
