The MList tab on a product holds the measurement list. It's the sized spec for how the garment should measure: a set of points of measure, graded across the size range, each with a tolerance. A product can hold several measurement lists, each linked to the article it applies to.
Creating a measurement list
There are three ways to start an m-list:
Start a new one — click Create new, enter a name, choose the gender, pick the size range or specific sizes, and Save. The chart opens straight away.
Copy — make a clean, standalone copy of an existing m-list. A copy is decoupled: later changes to the original don't affect it.
Link — link to an existing m-list, shared across articles. Change a linked m-list on one article and it changes on every article it's linked to. From an m-list's own menu you can Duplicate it or Stop using it on the product — which unlinks it without deleting it.
Adding measurement points. Once the m-list exists, add its points of measure: use the Find measurement search to look up each point in the measurement library and add it to the m-list. The points of measure themselves — their names, how-to-measure images, and default tolerances — come from the measurement library in Admin, where grading is configured too — see Measurement charts.
As you enter measurements, the left column of points of measure stays sticky while you scroll across sizes, and changes auto-save as you type — there's no save button. Press Enter to move down the table and Tab to move across to the next size. You can pick non-contiguous sizes when a product needs them.
Switching between measurement lists
When a product has several m-lists, the ones in use show as cards at the top of the tab, side by side — each with its name, status, the sizes it covers, and the colourways it applies to. Click a card to switch the chart below to that m-list.
What a measurement list holds
A m-list has a header and a few attributes:
Header — the m-list's name, reference, and gender & size, all editable.
Status — can be set on the m-list (for example Approved). Configured in Admin.
Tags — added if needed. Configured in Admin.
Versions — Each m-list is versioned. The header shows the current version's name, next to a counter of the other versions — click it to switch. The version menu (the dots beside the version name) is where you manage versions.
Images — can be added to the m-list. Click into an image to place your measurement points on the image or sketch, add short comments, and mark it up with arrows, boxes, and circles.
A measurement list is a grid of points of measure across the article's sizes. Reading a row from left to right, it holds:
The measurement point — its ref code, name, and how it's measured.
The tolerance (± cm).
A comment.
The measurement for each of the article's sizes. Below each measurement, in light grey, is the grading.
The size highlighted in light grey is the sample size. Click another size to make that the sample size instead.
Comparing versions and sizes
M-lists are versioned. The toolbar above the chart helps you read across versions and sizes:
Compare — show selected versions or sizes side by side.
Filter — narrow down the visible points of measure.
Group by version — diff sizes within one version.
Group by size — diff versions for one size.
Comments, files, and sample reports
Comments and files can be added to an m-list, and are kept per version.
The Sample report images section shows photos that come back from sample rounds. Each image is labelled with the version it belongs to, the date, and the sample round reference, along with the measurement point it relates to and the reviewer's comment. A new version of the m-list can be created from a sample report, carrying the previous version's values forward as the starting point. See Sending a sample request from a product.
Exporting
Click Export to download the chart as Excel and PDF. The version name is included in the filename so exports are easy to tell apart, and they're kept with the m-list and on the product's Files. To be able to send the file via sample request, an export must be done first to save the file.
Sharing a chart
The selected chart and version live in the page URL. Copy the browser address and send it — whoever opens it lands on the same chart and version.
