Resourced organises every product as three nested levels: the product is the silhouette, an article is one specific colorway of that silhouette, and a SKU is one size of that colorway. This article walks the full chain — create the product, add articles, generate SKUs — and shows what you can add at each level.
Create the product
Click NEW PRODUCT. Enter the product name and pick your hierarchy. If a product with a similar name already exists, the modal lists it under GO TO EXISTING PRODUCT — open that one instead of creating a duplicate.
Click CREATE. You land on the product detail page with a freshly assigned product number.
Set product-level details
The product header shows the name, number, creation date, and status, with icons in the top-right corner for Weight, Tariff, and any custom fields configured for your brand. The properties below the header hold the rest of the product-level values:
Description — a free-text field for describing the product.
Images — drop or browse to upload. Images can be added at both product and article level.
Season and Drop — set at product level or per article.
Tag — product tags are non-seasonal, allow one per category, and apply to all the product's articles. Articles additionally carry their own per-season article tags.
Type — choose your type of product.
Gender — gender and sizes can be set at product or article level. Unisex is achieved by selecting both Men and Women.
Color — adding a color here auto-creates an article in that color (see Add and configure articles below).
Material — set primarily on the BOM.
MList — set inside the m-list tab.
Price — set at product level or per article.
Order — purchase orders linked to this product.
Supplier — set at product level or per article.
Weight — the product's weight. Lives in the top-right header icons.
Tariff — the product's tariff classification. Lives in the top-right header icons.
To change the product number, click the number to make it editable. Enter a new number manually, or click the generate icon to rebuild it from your brand's numbering template.
Custom fields can be set up in your Admin page and added to product, article, and SKU level — see Set up custom fields for setup.
Add and configure articles (colorways)
Each color of a product is its own article. There are two ways to add one:
From the product header — pick a color in the Color row. An article is created in that color automatically.
From the Articles tab — click ADD ARTICLE in the Articles section below the property row. The same toolbar holds Sort and the filter for working in long article lists.
Each new article appears in the Articles list and starts in the first status configured for your brand.
Open the article detail page from the open-details icon on the right of the article row. The article header carries top-right icons for any custom fields configured for your brand. Article-level values include:
Images
Description — use this if the article needs a unique description. Otherwise the product's description applies.
Season and Drop
Tag — per-season article tags.

To change an article number, click it and enter a new one or click the generate icon. Article numbers stay editable until the article reaches a brand-configured status that locks them.
Generate SKUs
Set the size system and sizes — either by inheriting what's set at product level, or by configuring or adjusting them at article level. Resourced generates one SKU for each size you pick. To change a SKU number, click the size shown above the SKU number and enter a new value. Like article numbers, SKU numbers stay editable until the article reaches a brand-configured status that locks them.
EAN codes can be generated manually from the article (in the SKU table on the article detail page) or from the product header's three-dots menu. EAN is one of the SKU codes Resourced manages, and a status can be configured to generate its SKU codes automatically when an article reaches it.
Copy or remove a product
Open Product Options (the three-dots icon) in the top right of the product header.
Copy product creates a duplicate immediately. You land on the new product with a fresh auto-generated product number, the original name suffixed with " - Copy", and the original's articles, SKUs, BOM, m-list, and other product data carried over. Status resets to your brand's first status.
Remove product first checks what's connected, then opens a confirmation listing what's about to be removed — any non-empty BOMs, sample rounds, linked orders, SKU code values, and references from related products and bundles. If anything is connected, the confirm button becomes Force delete. Confirming removes the product along with everything listed — see Product options: copy & remove for the full rules.
⚠️ Removing a product cannot be undone.
