Four Admin pages set up how components are classified, numbered, described and sourced: Component Types, Component Numbers, Component Attribute Types, and Supply Chain.

Component Types is a two-level grouping — a type, and sub-types beneath it.

To add; write your Type in the Search or add box and click Add Type, then add its sub-types. A component in the component library is then classified by picking a type and, optionally, a sub-type for example Woven - Canvas.

The Component Number Template builds a component's number from variables — the sequential number, the created date, and the component's type and sub-type codes. Build it the Liquid way: click a variable to drop it in, shape it with filters, and check the Preview before you Save. A starting sequential number sets where numbering begins.

Component Attribute Types are the measured attributes you can record on a component — things like weight or thickness — each with the units it can be measured in. To add; write your Attribute type in the Search or add box and click Add Attribute Type and set the units each one allows. By clicking Mass Add you can create several at once by adding your wanted ones or load a list of common attributes.

Supply Chain defines the step types that make up a component's supply chain — the kinds of tier that sit behind producing a component. Click Add step type to define them; they're what you pick when building out a component's tiered supply chain.
