Margins and VAT

Two Admin pages that shape pricing: markup/margin targets per out price and hierarchy node (inherited down the tree), and VAT percentages per node and season with a Default fallback.

Two Admin pages shape the targets and tax behind your prices: Markup/Margin Targets and VAT.

Markup/margin targets

Markup/Margin Targets is where you set the margin or markup you're aiming for. You set a target so that, in the price popper on an article, you can see which out price to charge to hit that target against the cost price you have.

Start by adding a hierarchy node. Then work across the table: first set a target on your out prices under Default — the fallback used when a season has no target of its own — followed by each season with its out prices, so you can set a target per season. If the list of nodes gets long, use the search bar to find a node for an easier overview.

A node without its own target inherits the nearest one set above it in the tree, so you can set a brand-wide target at the top and override it on individual branches below.

💡 Good to know: because targets inherit down the tree, set the broad target high up and only add a target lower down where a branch needs to differ.

VAT

VAT sets the tax percentages used in pricing, per hierarchy node and per season — with a Default that applies where a season has no rate of its own.
