Tariff codes and duties

Tariff/HS-code systems per region, their per-country duty-rate columns, rate sync, and how they feed landed cost.

Tariff Codes sets up the customs classification and duty rates your products carry. It sits under Product in Admin, but the duty rates feed a product's landed cost, which is why it belongs with pricing.

Tariff code systems

A tariff code system is a regional catalogue of HS codes. Click Add System to create one, visible as tabs next to each other. Skip Validation lets you enter codes that don't match the system's expected format.

Duty rates per country

Within a system, Add Tariff Code and Add Country Column and then each tariff code carries a duty-rate percentage per country. Sync Rates pulls in current duty rates from TARIC so you don't have to enter them by hand. Rates are seasonal so change season to add rates or use Default for same rates across seasons left empty.

Each code can also carry a description and a short description, written directly in the table to describe what the code covers. If you have many codes, use the free-text search to find and read them more easily.
