SKU codes are the codes each SKU carries — most often EAN. The SKU Codes page is where you set the code type, the range of values it draws from, and how codes get generated.

At the top you set which type of code you use — usually EAN. Add one with the + next to SKU Codes, then set its options in the popper: a key, a type, a strict validation setting that enforces the code's format, and an allows duplicates setting.

Under Ranges, enter the range you've purchased — a From and a To. If you want to start partway into the range rather than at the beginning, enter the number to start from in Current.

The table shows how the range is doing: the total number of codes you have, how many are used, the percentage used, and whether a reminder is set.

Set a reminder by clicking Add reminder in the range popper, choosing at what amount of codes left it should remind at, and choosing which user gets the notification. That notification shows up for them in the Chat & Tasks panel, and as a task in the popper — so a range that's running low gets noticed before it runs out.

Generating codes through the system never produces a duplicate, so it's a safe way to generate. If older imported data contains codes that are duplicated or in the wrong format, they're listed here so you can fix them if needed.

To generate codes in bulk, mass-generate against a given article status. This is useful for filling in codes on a whole status that isn't set to generate them automatically — or as a helper: set up a status to collect a certain assortment, then mass-generate codes for everything in it.
