Managing samples across products

The top-level Samples module: a cross-product overview of every sample round, with table and feed layouts, grouping, filtering and sorting, URL-shareable round links, and how it relates to the per-product Sampling tab.

Samples in the top navigation is the cross-product view of every sample round in your brand — one place to scan, filter, and follow the status of all sample rounds without opening each product. It's the companion to the per-product Sampling tab: the tab is where you run one product's sample rounds, this module is where you watch them all.

Table and feed layouts

The Layout control switches how sample rounds are shown:

  • Table — Every sample round is a row, with columns for round number, type, supplier, product, status, deadline, sent date, who sent it, the latest event, the requested articles and sizes, received-vs-requested count, and sample status.

  • Feed — sample rounds as cards down the left, with the selected round's full thread open on the right.

The view you leave is the view you return to.

Working with the columns

In table layout, click a column header to sort by it. To reorder a column, grab the dots on its header — the cursor turns to a hand — and drag it into place. Right-click a header for more options:

  • Hide that column, or hide a whole group of columns at once.

  • Pin a column so it stays in view as you scroll sideways.

  • Show a hidden column, or show all columns.

  • Reset columns to default to return to the original layout.

Grouping and sorting

Group collects sample rounds under categories you can expand and collapse — by Product, Supplier, or Sample round. Sort orders the sample rounds within the view — sorting by who sent the request is useful when several people raise sample rounds.

Filtering the list

The Filter bar helps you narrow the list to the sample rounds you want to view. Filter by sample round type, sample status, season, supplier, and who created the round. Closed sample rounds are hidden by default — turn on Include closed rounds to see them. The search box can be used for free text.

The gear (⚙️) at the top of the Filter bar opens Configure Filters, where you choose which filters appear in the bar and which stay hidden.

Opening a sample round

Click a sample round's number to open it. The view switches to the round's full thread — the same request, messages, shipments, measurement reports and review you'd see on the product's Sampling tab — with every sample round listed on the left so you can move between them. The open round's ID lives in the page address, so you can copy the URL to send someone straight to that sample round.

Everything inside the thread — sending messages, logging shipments, measurement reports, sample review, closing the sample round — works exactly as it does on the product. For how the thread and each event behave, see Sending a sample request from a product.

Starting a request from here

New request at the top starts a sample request from the module rather than from a single product, which lets you build a request spanning more than one product. That multi-product flow is covered in Sending a sample request for multiple products. To request samples of a single product, the quickest path is the Sampling tab on that product.
